So much to be grateful for! I had work all day yesterday and today but noooot on Monday. So Blake took me out on a date! You see were not the type to go out to the movies and dinner and blah blah very much. We stay home, snuggle up on the couch, watch a movie and play games most nights but Monday that didn't sound like very much fun so Blake took me out :) I had soooo much fun!
We went to a restaurant called Anasazi Steakhouse and boy was it good I got pork and Blake got steak. The cool thing about this restaurant is the way the food is served. They brought our meat out on a (get this) volcanic rock! Now this rock is soo hot and the meat isn't completely cooked. Blake's steak was rare, rare, rare. The rock is so hot that you just cut up your meat and lay it on one side for 10-15 seconds to cook, then flip it over and then eat! Hopefully we'll be going back because as of Monday it's my #1 favorite restaurant. yummmmy! The best part is Blake and I had a buy one meal get one free so it was too expensive :)
After dinner, Blake and I went bowling and I got my butt kicked! I either got a strike or a gutter ball blake kept getting most of the pins down first bowl and then a spare the second bowl. But don't you worry, there will be a rematch in the near future. he he he. Mrs. Thompson's gonna get her bowl on!
Over all it was a great date and I had a blast! The past couple of days I was grateful for laughter. Blake does such a good job at making me laugh. He knows exactly how to flip my rough days upside down and make me happy. Not one day goes by where Blake doesn't make me laugh hard. I'm very grateful for that!
Luckily I have tomorrow off instead of Saturday so I can get some much needed cleaning done and hopefully finish of the roll of film in my camera, so it can be developed! Have a great night and a great morning! Thanks for all your love and support!

Blessings: 02-04
Goodness sakes! How time flies!!
Friday and Saturday I was lucky to not have any work. I spent a majority of both days at home and worked on some arts and crafts.
Our nursery class has a bin of toys, which is great but the only downfall is, the toys are lammeee....
So I'm putting together a bin for the kiddos. This past weekend I spent most of my time making felt food! and let me tell ya... it's turning out sooo well. I have made, doughnuts, carrots, broccoli, chips, goldfish, cookies, turkey legs, etc. I'm having so much fun putting them all together! and I can't wait to put them in the bin and take them to church! The bin so far has aprons, hot pads, hot wheels, mats, sippy cups, pillows, and a plastic tea set. I figure, hey 2 hours to fill, why not get creative?! haha. I hope it goes well next week!
Anyways, this past weekend I was grateful for my sewing machine! I've only had it for a month but I already love it so much! I could spend hours on end sewing and crafting!
Today I am grateful for my nursery class. Watching them grow and adapt with each other has been awesome! Listening to them talk and giggle is great! Although the class definitely makes me baby hungry I still enjoy it! I've learned so much with these little kids and I can't wait for all the Sundays to come :) Very grateful for this wonderful blessing!
Don't forget about all your wonderful blessings and have a great Sunday! I'm off to take some pictures!

Blessings
Lately I have been so, Go. Go. Go. that I haven't really spent any time to enjoy my blessings, days or think.
I always seem to worry about things that seem so important then and there
but when I take a step back and look at the big picture those big, important tasks are really just small daily doings. Like::
where do i need to be next?
what bills have been paid?
which ones need to be paid?
and how much money is left for savings?
when am i going to sit down and plan the nursery lesson?
what needs to be cleaned now?
what am i going to do with the kids tomorrow?
is there gas in the car?
how many loads of laundry can i get done in 30 minutes?
when was the last time i went to the gym?
have i told Blake i loved him lately?
what was the last meal i ate?
etc, etc, etc.
I get so caught up and stressed out about all the little things that I forget about the truly important things in my life that really need my attention. I start to think about all the things I need to get done and all the things I don't have time for that I get stressed to the point of breaking down.
Today was one of those days, just busy busy and I felt like I would never get any task done. big or small. I was lucky enough to get off work 2 and a half hours early. So instead of working until 11 I got off at 8:30. On my drive home my mind was running 100 words per second of everything i could get done before bedtime. But when I opened the door I was surprised to see Blake had cleaned up the family room and kitchen. Talk about heart swell*
As i sat down on the couch to enjoy a few moments with my Mr. Thompson my thoughts instantly switched from 'everything i could get done' to all the blessings in my life.
Blessings I have taken for granted the past couple of weeks.
So, as a late New Year resolution I have added to my list
Counting my Blessings
every day I'm going to take at least a few moments out of my day to recognize and appreciate a blessing in my life. My life is a gift, not a chore or a to do list. It's something to be cherished and not stressed. Some days I'll post my blessing and some days I won't. But for the most part I'll try to get something posted.
Today I am blessed for my Husband. he's definitely stood strong for me the past couple weeks. Last week was reaaallllyyy stressful for me and he knew exactly how to cheer me up. I'm grateful the Lord has sent him to me and I'm especially grateful for my in-laws for raising such an amazing man! Scott, Lynell... You're amazing.
Blake... I love you! You are the best Husband a girl could ask for!
Well, hope you all had a great day! Please, don't forget about the wonderful blessings the Lord has given you. No matter how hectic your life may seem, there are always wonderful blessings right around the corner!!
**Goodnight!**

Dear Today;
Thank you so much for not letting me down.
the past couple of weeks have gotten to me and lately i have been feeling exhausted.
leaving my house a mess & me grumpy.
so much to do, so little time.
that's how i've been feeling every day lately.
But not today!
i woke up & stood strong.
told myself, "self, lets make today count."
& i have!
It's only 2 o'clock & i still have so much more time ahead of me.
You've helped me be productive...
four loads of laundry washed
three loads of dishes done!
one swept and mopped kitchen floor
three loads of laundry folded
one family room vacuumed and shining
eight cupboards organized
ALL christmas decorations down and out
(minus lights outside but that's Blake's job lol)
one set of clean & crisp linens on the bed
deposited checks & paid bills
deposited checks & paid bills
& one wonderful pot roast cooking in the crock pot preparing to be eaten.
now day....
there's still 8-9 hours left in you.
& there's still 15-20 tasks on my list:
clean the bathroom
organize my closet
finish the laundry
straighten up craft room
enjoy dinner with my hard working Husband
clean out the car
clean out the garage
sew something special
play cards with blake
pick up a prize
drop off the prize
hang up clothes
fold the rest of the clothes
etc, etc, etc...
so keep up the good work & keep me motivated.
my next day 'off' isn't until Sunday & even then there will be no cleaning done.
so lets get it all done now, today.
and be proud of ourself when bed time rolls around.
keep not letting me down & i'll continue to be a happy camper!
xoxo
much appreciation & love:

Christmas Joys
Saying Christmas was awesome this year is a serious understatement! Blake and I got some gooood stuff from Santa, family, and each other.
all the blue/penguin/girly presents are to me from Santa/Blake... I got spoiled! The shiny ones on the left are to Blake from me minus some that I hid from him.
I sadly didn't get any pictures of the presents being opened but I got some of the damage after they were all opened and boy was it a mess!
Oh don't worry, there was more wrappings in the kitchen. I was a lucky girl the next day, when I woke up, Blake had it all cleaned up :) sweeeett.
Blake got two special gifts from me some new Kobe shoes,
(because I made him ruin his old ones when we went and cut down our Christmas tree. I wore his big boots because I forgot mine :s So he had to wear his nikes.)
I was super excited to give him his Kobe's because they were the last ones sold by Nike in his size, anywhere. Seriously. They came alllllll the way from Kittery Maine!
His next gift was a geeetar!! Whaat!
I love it, and better yet.... so does he! He got some nice accessories to go with it. I love listening to him play it. (we're going to start a band but shhhhh.... it's a secret for now). The goal is to get another guitar and jam together! But for now listening to him play is just as nice. He got some other little gifts like jerrrrkkkyy, candy, body wash, etc, etc.
Now...
On to me!
I got super spoiled. For times sake I'm only going to list my top 3 favorite gifts.
My parents bought me my own set of scriptures for my 15th birthday and as you can guess through all that seminary and church and mutual, they got pretty banged up and written all over to the point that I could barely read them. Since I'm starting this new chapter in my life, I asked Blake for new scriptures with my new name! They're gorgeous and I've already put them to good use with my crayola colored pencils!
2: A Silhouette SD!
This gift, I kind of saw coming. I mean, I asked and asked and asked. It was on the top of both Christmas lists I wrote and I have been talking about it since August. This is by far one of the coolest crafting machines!
Along with my Silhouette I got some vinyl, sketch pens and gift cards for their online store. I haven't done to much with my machine yet but I have done some little things here and there. I'm kind of hesitant to use the vinyl on our walls because I don't want to waste it if we're just going to be moving :s good thing I'm learning patience right?! Also the software is kind of hard to use but I'll figure it our eventually. All I know is that this machine is pure bliss!
3: A Sewing Machine!!
Now, this was a complete surprise!! and I love it! When I unwrapped my present my heart just dropped and I immediately took it out of the box! After we had everything put away and the family room all cleaned up I went straight to my craft room and started cleaning organizing and scheming. Then I hit walmart and got yards and yards of $1.50 fabric. My sewing machine was from Blake and Scott and Lynell and it's perfect!
Along with my sewing machine I got some awesome sewing supplies like my Gingher scissors, a rotary cutter, a cutting matt and some other sewing stuff.
The first thing I did with my sewing machine was this 'imagine' set I've been working on for quite some time now. It turned out just how I had imagined lol and it sure does look lovely in my little craft room :)[[Thanks Brenna and Kylee for helping me spray paint those frames!]]
Next thing I made was this little apron and oven mitt set for my little niece Brookyln.
Along with her little set I made a picture using my silhouette to hang in her little kitchen
Blake and I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas! We spent a lot of time with his family and we spent a lot of time with each other! I've been having lots of fun with my new toys!
How about you?! What fun things did you get?!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and an even better New Year!
Love Mrs. Thompson
