Welcome

It's great being able to wake up next to the one you love and know that they are yours forever. It's great to be able to go through life and make memories with that significant other and all the loved ones around you. I'm glad to be able to have such a blessed life and hopefully I'll be able to share all those wonderful memories with all of you. Enjoy!

Day 13-30! Beat that! haha

Day 13 — a picture of somewhere you've been to

This picture was taken in California at the Coronado Beach. Such a pretty place I wouldn't mind living there!

  • **a letter to someone who has hurt you recently**
Dear You.know.who.you.are,
You most likely don't read my blog which is understandable. So writing some long drawn out letter to you would be pretty pointless. So all I'm going to say our a few things. First, I forgive you. It has taken me a long time to become the person I am today. Before I don't think I would have ever been able to say that, but I have a strong Husband and a very supporting family.  They have taught me that I need to forgive 70x7. Second, It's sad to say but my life is much more bright and happier without your dark shadow hovering above me. Third,  I will always be there for you if you need me. But for now to spare me and my Husband any more heartache I will be distancing myself from you until you have the decency to treat me and my loved ones with respect. Lastly, I love you and I always will. You hold a very important part in my heart and I am grateful for all the happy moments we have been able to share. I hope you watch after yourself and take care. Be safe and know that you are loved by me. You are always in my prayers.
Love,
Kathy

Day 14 — what I would find in your bag
My planner, my cell phone, LOTS of change, spare dollars, receipts, receipts, receipts, silica  beads :s, random papers, gum, gum, chapstick and my camera. Lots I know!

Day 15 — Your favorite song
Currently my favorite song is Lead Me by Sanctus Real or Everything you do :)

Day 16 — A song that makes you cry (or nearly)

You Wouldn't Cry (Andrews Song) by Mandisa. A recent lady in my ward just lost her baby. I bought this song to and gave it to her. Every time I listen to this song I bawl my heart out and my heart swells. I'm so grateful to know there is a life after this. Pure happiness.
    • **songs you listen to when you are happy, sad, bored, hyped, mad**
Oh dear... There are SO many songs that I listen to! I seriously cannot answer this question because of all 13,000 songs I have a majority of them can fit under this question so I'm gonna have to play the pass card... Sssssoooorrrryyyy!

Day 17 — put you ipod on shuffle: first 10 songs that play
1: Blame It On The Rain by He Is We
2: To Love And Back by This Century
3: Long Live by Taylor Swift
4: Whatever You're Doing (Something Heavenly) by Sanctus Real
5: In My Head by Jason Derulo
6: The Sun Shines On Everything by Jason Reeves
7: Set The World On Fire by Brit Nicole
8: Hopeful Romantic by This Century
9: King Of Anything by Sara Bareilles
10: Hope Now by Addison Road

    Day 18 — plans/dreams/goals you have
-My Number one goal right now is to get sealed to my Husband for time and all eternity. Roughly 112 more days! Every morning I wake up and thats the first thing to go throw my mind. I will be blissfully happy on that day!
-Go to college and get a degree in photography and childhood education
-Be some sorts of good at my job(s) lol
-Eventually buy a house, just a little one (where the walls can be painted lol)
    -Have a little family
-Watch my children grow up, with Blake by my side and make sure my children outgrow me!
-Always stand strong in the gospel

Day 19 — nicknames you have and why you have them
    Oh wow! um..
Katanga: My Dad has called me that for I don't know how long. I love it.
Sister Sue and Lieutenant Kathy Bigger and most recent Love Button: My Mom calls me that :)
Flaka: My Mom Reynas side of the family calls me that because I'm skinny.
Kak: My sisters call me that
    Krack: Heh, clueless there
Cornstalk: Tim used to call me that cause I guess it's cool lol
Babe: Blake calls me that because I'm his babe. Nuff Said! lol

Day 20 — another picture of yourself

    Day 21 — A recipe
Anything that comes out of a book works pretty great! lol I'm still no master at cooking :s although I am learning slowly with my cooking book that Gran gave me. When I master a recipe, I'll put it up! How's that sound??
    • **Something you're proud of in the past few days**
Ok ok this is going to sound SOO lame but lately Blake and I have been going to work around 5:30 am  instead of 10:00 pm and it is a huge deal to me! The past couple months I haven't had work until later in the day so I usually got up around 9-10ish so waking up a whole 4-5 hours earlier kind of makes me happy. I spend the rest of the day full of energy and I'm actually tired when I go to bed rather then my usual tossing and turning, restless nights. I see a good tradition taking place right about now. Lets hope it stays this way huh?!

      Day 22 — A website
http://stgeorge.craigslist.org/ Yeah it's technically my homepage. I check craigslist all the time. Especially the free section! I've gotten some awesome stuff from that site my tables in my craft room, my blue dressers, my rocking chair, my papasan chairs, and quite a bit more. It's nice being able to decorate my house for little to practically nothing and still love the turn out! Hopefully the good finds don't end there!

      Day 23 — A YouTube video
      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJF0cuYbYyI
Hahahahahaha!! Okay! can I just tell you how much I LOVE these commercials!? Soooo Great! You want to know why I like them so much? Because A: they are hilarious! and B:
Nuff said! Ok, you might not be able to see it in this picture but I have a million other ones like these. He's always in the corner of some picture or in the background with a sasquatch look. What can I say?... he has my heart! haha
      • **what makes you different from everyone else**
Oh... hmm... I guess what makes me most different from everyone else is mostly the fact that I was the lucky gal that got Blake Thompson. So that means I have something special that stands above the rest! right?! lol Other then that I'm not sure what else makes me different. Maybe just the fact that I'm EXTREMELY lucky! and truly blessed! I got a great family on BOTH sides and I can honestly say No One has family quite like mine! it makes me unique *BIG.GRIN!* Family... You guys keep doin what ya doin! Makin me look good ;)

Day 24 — something you crave for a lot

mmmm... Frosted Flakes, it's an addiction! Along that line any kind of fruit, and juice. I'm a sucker for juice.
        • **why are you doing this 30 day challenge**
Well I originally started this challenge to try and pick up the habit of blogging consistently which turned into an epic fail so now I'm just finishing it up so I can say to myself that I at least accomplished it! I guess that's ok with me.

Day 25 — Your day, in great detail
Um... well today wasn't very eventful. Seriously. I woke up around 5:45 went to the bank with Blake and cleaned. Came home and spent some hours cuddling with Blake then said goodbye to him so he could go to his doctors appointment. While he was gone I did some decorating while I watched a Christmas show. Did some cleaning, did some dishes, did some laundry, etc. Got ready for my day. Talked to some friends from high school which was great. Watched Haley and Ali for a couple of hours, talked to Blake on the phone, did some online Christmas shopping for him. Gave our very lively tree some water, now I am blogging and then it will be bed. perfect.

Day 26 — Your week, in great detail.
          eek! I don't even remember!
29: Drove home from Orem and loved saying Hello to my Husband! Spent some time with him.
30: Woke up at 5:30 went to the bank and cleaned, came home, cleaned, decorated!
1: Woke up at 5:30 went to the bank and cleaned, went home and relaxed, went to work at Pelican Hills cleaning, Blake picked me up and surprised me with some delicious Hot Chocolate, we went and got our tree, got stuck, got unstuck x3, went and bought decorations, got home and spent the night decorating our tree together while we listened to wonderful Christmas music!
2: Woke up at 5:30 went to the bank and cleaned, worked on a gift for a baby shower, went to work nannying, came home and worked on the gift some more, cleaned, and hung out with Blake.
3: Woke up at 5:30 went to the bank and cleaned, hung out with Blake, baby sat, the end.
4: Woke up at 5:30 went to the bank and cleaned, came home, worked on the gift some more, wrapped it, got ready and headed to a friends baby shower (which was greatly enjoyed), hung out with Holly, babysat, went to the Dickens festival with Blake, went home, relaxed, movie, bed.
5: Woke up, went to church, came home, rested with the husband!
6: Today was stated above, no need to repeat myself.
I'm sure I skipped SO much but oh well

Day 27 — This month, in great detail
          nope... not gonna happen. Sorry.

Day 28 — This year, in great detail
          nope... not gonna happen. Sorry.
I'll make a separate post about that later.

Day 29 — Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
Get sealed! Hopefully buy a house, get my fox back, start school, get a raise, visit family :) and be happy!

Day 30 — in this past month, what have you learned
Oh man, I have learned SO much in the past month. I have learned a lot of patience. My Husband will always love me no matter how rude, short tempered, emotional and unfair I am being. I have learned to be extremely grateful for Blakes patience for me. As long as I am grateful for what I have I'll be truly happy. Curbs are not nice when you run into them :s My family is a true blessing all of them, I've learned that the Lord has blessed me with great sister in laws, Clenece, Thank you! You have no idea how much I appreciated having that talk with you!!! The saying "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise" is true! Who would have thought?? Nursery is a blast but it sure wears you out. Going to bed with a heater on makes me wake up with a really really sore throat. $10 awesome winter boots on black friday make my feet happy! Christmas music is the best! breakfast is great any time of day. And good friends will always be there. (Thank you Becky and Holly, you two are awesome and I'm glad to have met you and have the opportunity to get to know you both so well!) No matter how sad I am Blake is always there to pick up my pieces and make me happy again. Prayer never fails. The Lord will never quit on me.

Well! I did it! and if you made it all the way to the end... I salute you! Now I seriously need some good shut eye!! Will post again soon!! Good night!

          Xoxo ALWAYS:: Mrs. Thompson!!

          Day 12... check!

A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

Ok ok this whole 3o day challenge thing is starting to get extremely repetitive. I'm pretty sure I've already wrote about the people/things that have had the biggest impact on me. Ya... not in so many words but sitll... Let me do a quick summary again.

My Husband, a.k.a the amazing love of my life!
He is one of the biggest influence in my life. And guess what... We've been married for 7 months TODAY!! The past 7 months have been SO great! I feel like we've been married forever especially since we spend almost 24/7 with one another. He should up at the perfect time in my life and he has helped me grow so much within the past year and a half. His smile and his kisses STILL give me butterflies, I'm looking forward to the next 5 months!

            My Family:
My Family is such a great so important to me. My Family (Lires/Lara side) have helped me be the person I am today. They have supported me and cheered me on. They were there to make my childhood all around great. We've been through a lot together, to many trials to name and equally as many successes! Growing up with a bunch of siblings have made my life extremely blessed.  Our family parties are memories I will forever cherish. I look forward to having children and repeating those same traditions with them.
Along with MY family I'm grateful for Blakes Family. From Day one they have made me feel SO welcome and I can honestly say they all hold the same spot in my heart as MY family. I love getting together for our family parties and dinners that we have extremely often (Thanks to Lynell).
I strive to be better each and every day because I know that is what my WHOLE family expects from me. They all encourage me to be great and hone (Brenna lol) my "Many" talents. They are such great influences in my life. I've been very blessed to not only have these wonderful people in my life but to have them as MY FAMILY! (All of my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, nieces and nephews and Grandparents!!)

            Lastly the Gospel:
I believe growing up being LDS has had a pretty big impact on my life. Who knows where I would be without the church! I'm so lucky to have such a great husband who stands strong in the church. It's nice being able to share my beliefs with him and looking forward to share OUR beliefs with our children. There is Nothing bad with my Heavenly Father, being able to mold myself to be someone that will make my Heavenly Father proud is something I work towards everyday. My life is so much brighter when I so the things the Lord wants me to do. He is there to support and lift me up on my toughest days. He has helped me and walked beside me through many challenges and trials. He has never left me alone and he has never doubted me. I'm grateful to walk the rest of my life with Blake, our children, and the Lord.

            Day o9::

            A photo you took
            **a letter to your parents**
Blake and I carved these pumpkins last week, Oh how I love them! Mine is the one on the left, his name is Dopey :) and Blakes is obviously on the right haha. It took us almost 5 hours! We spent about an hour going from store to store finding the best pumpkins, then it took us a bit to find pumpkin templates online, Mine was easy, Blake didn't have one. He just saw a picture of a similar pumpkin and carved away! While we carved we watched "scary" movies! lol It was a great night and i had TONS of fun!! Our pumpkins are pretty wilted now and droopy so Blake and I have decided to carve some more sometime this week! **YIPEE** Here are some more pictures of the night :)

I found a tri-pod so taking pictures of family events is that much easier! Precious right?! Anyways... Those are my recent pictures! We had so much fun and I can't wait to carve more! (I'm also planning on carving some pumpkins with the kids I nanny talk about double fun!!)

            **a letter to your parents**
            Dear Dad and Mom,
In order to not get to personal on my blog I just wanted to tell you two how much I appreciate you both. I'm so thankful for all the unconditional love that you have given to me through out my life.
I'm so grateful to have grown up as your child. My childhood was beyond great. I'll never forget our family home evenings; Murder in the Dark, going to the canyon, night games, Los Hermanos, Mi Ranchito, Root beer floats, Our countless trips to California and Lake Powell. (I can't even imagine what it would be like to cart around 7 kids through a busy amusement park.) I'll never forget waking up for school in the morning, walking into the kitchen to see 7 brown sack lunches lined up on the counter, or our big family dinners every night. I was such a lucky child growing up, even through all the trials you two were always there for me. You wiped my tears and you let me hang out in your room and chat till 2 am! Some of our best conversations happened during the late hours of the night. Our family was golden growing up, thanks to you.
Thanks for your support when it comes to Blake and I. You've been there with us every single step of the way!
We can't wait for what the future has to hold, I can't wait for the moment I have kids and I can place my little baby in your arms and introduce you two as his/her grandparents. What a great moment that will be.
I love you! I love you both SO much! Thank you for being MY parents and for raising me as you did. thank you for teaching me the gospel, and for encouraging me to be the best that I can be. (Thank you for pushing me to graduate). You two are both amazing! Once again, I love you!!
            -Love Katanga ♥♥

            Sorry For The Delay

I'm sorry for the time it's taken me to blog. I'm terrible at this whole 3o Day Challenge deal. Here... Let me explain what took me so long. Blake and I got a job!! Well, Blake already had a job with Grandad, We both got a job working together cleaning the main Wells Fargo building here in Saint George! We go every day (except Sunday), and spend two hours cleaning it up! Just us two. We went yesterday for the first night to finish up all our training, yada yada. It's pretty great! Along with our ABM job, I got another one and I love it! A couple days back Blake and I went to the LDS Employment Service place and set up accounts with them.  Friday, I got a phone call from a lady who offered me a Nanny job!! I met them that night and Yesterday was my official first day! It was AWESOME!! I nanny 3 kids!

Annabella (6th Grade), Rene (1st Grade), and Angelina (kindergarten). They're great kids! We went and had a picnic, then to the park, then we watched The Corpse Bride and had spaghetti! I watch them every Tuesday thru Saturday. I'm so excited! The best part about it is the fact that they are looking for someone long term, so I'll have a great job for quite awhile! Boy has the Lord sent many blessings our way!

Now back to the subject on hand, why I didn't blog. Friday I wasn't feeling to hot so blogging was last on my mind and Yesterday I nannied from 1:30-6:45 and then went straight from nannying to ABM until 1:15ish, am. So, it was a long day and by the time a got home blogging was pretty much the last thing on my mind haha so here I am to catch up!! La da da!!!

A photo that makes you angry/sad
**a habit that you wish you didn’t have**
This photo makes me sad :( It makes me miss my little Fox. Not only her as my dog  but I miss her as a little pup! She was so tiny! I mean seriously could fit in my pocket! Swoon! I love how she looks with her little Fox haha all snuggled up! Soon she'll be back with us! Soon!

This photo makes me angry... and sad. This picture is from my brother. It's a picture of an animal that died in the oil spill :( my heart just breaks when I see stuff like this. The worst part is there isn't much I can do about it. (except by a bottle of dawn, but that's not much). I wish things like this just wouldn't happen. But like my Dad says, "If fishes were wishes we'd all have a fry." One day we'll figure it out. :)

**a habit that you wish you didn’t have**
Like everyone else in this world I am nowhere near perfect. I have MANY MANY habits that I wish I just didn't. But instead of complaining about them, I am working on being a better person daily. Just so I can remind myself how human I truly am, here is a list of habits I just wish would go away lol.
            • Quick to anger and slow to forgiveness
              • This one is a hard one for me. I'm extremely lucky to have Blake though. If it were for his patience and understanding I'm sure we would fight quite a bit. I need to learn to calm down and not sweat the small things. Then I need to learn that people don't always have to say "sorry" in order for me to forgive them. I just do.
            • Patience
              • Boy, do I need patience! This and my number 1 are the top things I'm working on. I believe that is one of the big reasons behind my church calling and my job. Being around kids definitely helps me with patience. I love my job and I love my calling and I'm so so SO grateful for the opposrtunity to learn and grow with them.
            • Organization
              • Ugh! I'm SO bad at organizing, seriously, you should see my craft room. Everything is so mixed with each other, I'm sure if I organized it then it wouldn't take me a minimun of 30 minutes to find onw small little thing. Once again, Ugh**
            • Cleaning
              • I swear I'm good at cleaning everything but my own house. Lol I clean for my job. But for some reason I can't seem to keep my laundry done, the dishes cleaned, or my bed made. Haha one day I will though! Let's just hope it's before children come along! lol

Don't worry peeps that's only a short, short list of my unwanted habit that I'm working on but everyones got to start somwhere right?!

                Love:: KappyAnn T. XoXo
