Welcome

It's great being able to wake up next to the one you love and know that they are yours forever. It's great to be able to go through life and make memories with that significant other and all the loved ones around you. I'm glad to be able to have such a blessed life and hopefully I'll be able to share all those wonderful memories with all of you. Enjoy!

sleep {[sLeeP]} SLEEP!!

Now I know I should be sleeping right now and I wish I was, but my eyes just won't seem to keep close. I figured blogging would keep me occupied and hopefully I drift off before I get this blog posted because I do have work in 7 hours :s ugh. Lately my mind has been hooked on 'arts and crafts' projects. Whenever I have spare time I find myself online looking for things I can do that not only improves our house but is inexpensive and unique. I've found SO many things that I would love to do but a majority of the projects I don't have some of the necessary items. I.e. a sewing machine, a staple gun, glue, fabric, felt, bins, paper (construction, cardboard, scrapbooking) wood (lol) etc. Truth be told, when it comes down to it, I pretty much don't have anything lol with the exception of a few markers and crayons. There's one project though I've been DYING to try! It's called fabric panel wall art, after talking about it non-stop I think Blake got annoyed because he said we could go out and pick up the stuff to make them :) you can't even begin to believe how ecstatic I was! Here are some pictures :)
I figures since they're made out of fabric the possiblities and patterns are endless! I just have to keep reminding myself that I don't need to make a billion because eventually i'm gonna run out of places to put them. I guess I could make them as gifts; birthday, mothers day, Christmas. But before I get carried away I should probably see how the first one goes huh?? I figured eventually when I can sew kind of legitly I can make some matching pillows to go with my wall art kind of like this
And maybe for a little bit more of a sophisticated look I could frame what I made.
Or add some texture to it.
Ahhh! There are so many things I could do! I just need to pick. I already know how to do it all I just need to calm myself down and take it one step at a time! I'm really excited to do this project because when I'm all done I can call it my own and say that I made it. I'm excited to make some for our family room. There are SO many pictures of Blake and I that I'd like to dial it down a bit and do something a little bit more suttle and not so... Us. Haha I'm thrilled to go to the fabric store and find some fabric with character. I've recently picked up knitting again and as much as I love doing that, it bores me quick. So hopefully something like making wall art will keep me a little more entertained :) anyways! I'll post more about it later IF I decided to follow through with this little diy project! Thanks for reading! Hope to post again soon! Love:: Kathy THOMPSON!!!

Official house wife

UPDATE!: So thursday after my last blog was posted Mick and Amanda showed up at my house :) unfortunatly Blake got a phone call and couldn't go to Vegas because he had to work :( so I packed up Foxies stuff and mine and we headed to Vegas! Woot woot! Although we only spent one night it was still a blast! We did some shopping, watched some shows, and we even went to the wax museum! (post pictures asap) After today I can honestly say there is nothing better then going to bed knowing when you wake up there is absolutly nothing you have to do or clean. That, everyone is how I am gonna feel tonight, after I get ice cream with Blake that is. Lysol baby: Throughout my years growing up and doing chores, I have always been a Lysol baby, thanks to my Mom. Everything was cleaned with Lysol. So becoming a house wife and acquiring a place of my own I naturally went out and bought some Lysol :) Well... Now to the point of this paragraph, for a wedding gift Blake and I got this amazing basket (thanks Nick & Clenece!) filled with EVERYTHING a house should have! Oh I loved it! ANYWAYS!... Inside our basket was this scrubbing bubbles foam bathroom cleaner....
Oh my! Can I just tell you how much I love this stuff! I just sprayed it on, let it sit, rinsed it off and walaa!! A sparkling clean shower! My life seriously got that much easier!
Well, since you know about our clean bathroom let me tell you what else I cleaned! Our kitchen, washed all the dishes, SCRUBED our kitchen floor, did 8 loads of laundry, and cleaned and vacuumed our room, talk about one busy day! I was so excited for Blake to come home and see our house! Ahh... The life of a house wife and the things that make us happy! All I can say is Blake sure was happy when he came home!! My life is great! :) Along with cleaning my house I got handy and I picked up a tool and I put together our louve space saver lol a.k.a.
Shelf thingy that goes above our toilet haha I put it together all by myself!! Talk about being proud! And now you get to see my bajillion pictures I took because that's how proud I am haha
Haha I was so happy to have it finally set up that the moment it was done... I stocked it! Haha anyways now it's time for din din and some CSI with Blake! Thanks for reading! Hope to post again soon! Love:: Kathy THOMPSON!!!

Camping bash!

HELLO!! Alright so right about now I'm waiting for my oh so handsome husband to come home from work so we can hit up Vegas with Micky and Amanda D! I figured while I waited though I could update my blog! I don't quite remember when my past post was, I think a little after Easter-ish... Maybe ?? Haha anyways here are some pictures from Easter!...
I feel like March and April have been the craziest months of the year!! Lots has happened! On April 10th Gran and Grandad held a bridal shower for Blake and I. It was pretty awesome! It was for Blakes family that couldn't make it to Orem which I thought was way sweet! My parents went to Vegas on Wednesday and came to Saint George on Friday. Like always they stayed at our place :) love. Saturday morning the boys (Hubby & Father) wen. To the gym to play thier usual basketball games and my Mom and I hit the stores! We went to Tai Pan Trading and got some really cute inexpensive stuff which I loved! We also went to Costco so I could get some much needed laundry detergent! (I don't know why but since I've been married I've had the sudden urge to do lots of laundry :s lol). Once the boys were all washed up and we were done shopping we headed over to Gran and Grandads to party! The turn out was great! And it's always fun spending time with family! No matter how 'new' they are ;) We ate some yummy food and then we played a game that Lynell put together called spouse-ology! All the wives had to go inside and the husband had to answer questions, I.e. What is your wides favorite band? What is your favorite food? Etc... The wives then came out and sat in front of their husbands and had to answer the same questions. If their answer matched their spouses answer then they get a point! If that makes sense?? Haha and then vise-versa... Husbands left and wives answered! The game was REALLY fun! Blake and I placed second!! Haha for two weeks of being married... That's not bad!! Lol. After the game we i All mingled, Blake and I opened presents, played pool with my parents and then called it a night! It was a really great party!! The next day Ashlyn got blessed at church!
And we headed back over to Gran and Grandads to eat! Haha the weekend was loads of fun and Blake and I had a great day! Monday it was right back to work at the chocolate factory! Tuesday was a different story though! Tuesday Blake and I woke up. we went to the store, bought some stuff, picked up our Fox, went to his parents house and picked up more stuff, got some gas, loaded the boat and then we set off to our camping adventure! We went to Quail creek which is about 15 minutes from our house and we set up camp haha! We stayed Tuesday, Wednesday and came home today, Thursday! It was tons of fun! We went boating and caught some beautiful rainbow trout! We made tin foil dinners, had eggs and bacon, had visitors ;) and we even let Foxie swim! I had SO much fun camping with my best friend! We got tan, got burned, snuggled, fished, slept, ate, talked, laughed and made many memories together! I can proudly say I love camping with Blake. The way I feel when I'm with him makes me whole world spin, makes me complete. I am so truly blessed to be his wife and to have him as not only my husband but my best friend. Long story short!... Haha we had tons of fun camping and I'm looking forward to all our MANY camping adventures to come!!! Thanks for reading! Hope to post again soon! Love always Kathy THOMPSON!!! ;) P.s. Will get pictures up as soon as I am by a computer :)!!

The first week of the married life!

Our first week of marriage was a breeze!... Haha our wedding was great, more rushed then I wouldve liked it to be but altogether it was a blast! I got to stand across from my beloved Blake and call him my husband. I can't wait til we can kneel across one another in the temple and become sealed for the rest of eternity! Along with the great wedding came a great honeymoon! We spent Saturday in an AMAZING cabin up at sundance, thanks to my parents! And then we spent the rest of the week in Vegas! Shopping, walking the strip, and going to a lot of exhibits and an aquarium! While on our honeymoon we spent a few nights at the hard rock and the rest of the nights at the new Aria hotel!! We got an amazing corner view suite!! Our honeymoon was really relaxed and fun!! We spent every minute of every hour by each others side (which was no different from our ordinary days lol). When we got home we opened presents and with our wedding gift cards we remodeled our WHOLE place!! Lol it looks way nice and feels more like OUR home everyday!! Blake and I have not yet broken the habit of staying awake until 3 in the morning haha I think that one is gonna take awhile! We stay up all night hanging curtains, decorating or laying in bed watching CSI with a bowl of cereal in hand. I LOVE being able to wake up next to Blake in the mornings! Even though his stinky feet stink up the whole room lol ;] Foxie is doing great! She is one of the best parts of Blake and my life together! We even headed home from our honeymoon a couple days early because we were missing her terribly haha. She is still a great puppy and we love having her around especially at nights when she returns to her spot between Blale and I, curls up in a ball and snuggles to sleep. Eventually when Blake and I buy a home we will add another little pup to our family so our Foxie has a companion :] As you all know Easter was yesterday! Blake and I decided that we weren't going to give each other anything for Easter so we could save money. Well... When I woke up I headed into the kitchen to start frosting my sugar cookies, I turned the corner and this...
Is what was waiting for me!! I instantly started to bawl, walked back to our room, got back into bed, and curled up next to my husband! He just laughed at my tear stained cheeks, kissed me, and told me he loved me. This will forever be a remembered moment in my life. After I finished frosting all the cookies Blake and I packed up our stuff and headed over to the party at Gran and Grandads house! There I tried my first piece of lamb.... Yum :/ haha after lunch we hid eggs and the kidos went out and collected them. Blake and I then went and got our Fox at home and then went to his parents house where a couple hours later Nick, Clenece and thier little kids showed up! We ended the night with dinner and a HUGE sleepover at Scott and Lynells house (Blakes parents :]) Although I wasn't able to celebrate Easter with my family back at Orem, I was able to spend it with my new family! I have been so blessed! On March 27, 2010 I not only obtained a husband but I gained 3 beautiful nieces, 2 oh so handsome nephews, a great mother and father, 2 amazing sisters and 2 brothers! (1 of whom I can't wait to meet when he gets back from his mission in August!) the Lord has blessed me SO much and I look forward to every night when I am able to kneel down and thank him for all that he has given me! I will forever be grateful! Thanks for reading! Hope to post again soon! Love always Kathy A. THOMPSON!!! ;)
